Hartmire is currently building WooCommerce plugins. You will work with a knowledgeable and dedicated team as a WordPress Developer. The ideal candidate should have good spoken English.

Roles and responsibilities

You will work with an extremely passionate & smart team of WordPress geeks.

  1. Expected to maintain, upgrade & support our existing portfolio of WordPress products.
  2. Communicate with end WordPress users & developer directly to understand their needs better.
  3. Maintain high coding standards and practices to deliver secure, scalable, optimized, and exceptional WordPress products from start to finish.
  4. Assist in the remediation, enhancement, and maintenance of existing products in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Run security audits and performance reviews for products.
  6. Respect timelines and communicate progress proactively. We are a remote team, so proactive communication is essential.
  7.  

You should be proficient in

  1. PHP, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS & WordPress.
  2. Ability to extend interfaces with ReactJS
  3. Ability to do security & performance audit of the application
  4. Version control systems such as Git.
  5. Experience in building WordPress plugins/functionality.
  6. WordPress actions/filters API.
  7. WordPress Metabox API.
  8. Ability to integrate 3rd party services, ex: different types of Auth, CRM, Email listing API’s, Payment gateways, etc.

 

Good to have

  1. Experience working with WP-CLI
  2. Experience working with PHPCS, SonarLint, RIPS Security Application, etc.
  3. Package manager and automation tool experience. E.g., npm,  Grunt & WebPack
  4. Experience working with various REST APIs
  5. Experience working with React.js library
  6. Experience working with Node.js
  7. Experience with  WooCommerce, Multisite, API integrations
  8. Experience with modern PHP frameworks
  9. Experience with modern JavaScript/Frontend development and frameworks
  10. Setting up CI/CD workflows with Travis CI and GitHub
  11. Knowledge of Docker and Vagrant
  12. Remote working experience appreciated
